Physiotherapy

Physiotherapy services

The physiotherapy team at Sonnmatt uses recognised treatment forms based on science.

An initial consultation will focus on asking questions and recording details about your history (medical history) and a physical examination. Then we will work together to set objectives for your stay, or your treatment period, which will guide the therapy. The team will prepare an individual treatment plan based on the initial consultation. Check-ups are carried out using scientifically-proven measurement instruments.

Our guests do not only receive treatment after acute events, we also deal with chronic illnesses, complex injuries and cases where there is restricted or no possibility for rehabilitation. The work is carried out by experienced physiotherapists, who specialise in various areas.

The treatment is primarily based on the guests’ abilities. The aim is to keep people healthy as they get older, to promote mobility and to alleviate pain. In addition, we endeavour to achieve stable functional health and physical well-being in order to improve the quality of life.

People should be happy that they can do something again.

What we offer

The Sonnmatt physiotherapy services listed below are provided in an individual setting, complemented with group options. We also offer treatments that are joint-friendly and develop coordination in our own therapy pool. In the training centre (MTT), which is kitted out with the latest equipment, you can build up strength and stability, mobility and fitness (using controlled devices) with supervision or independently.
